A delegation headed by Maja Vrtatic, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Croatia, on September 9 discussed Croatia's participation in the 2010 World Expo with the organizer.

Croatia will exhibit in a 1,000-square-meter rented pavilion.

Zhong Yanqun, deputy director of the World Expo 2010 Shanghai Executive Committee, pledged every support for Croatia's participation. She believed Croatia would present a splendid display given its good performance at the Aichi Expo.

She was convinced that the exhibition would also enlarge Chinese people's knowledge about Croatia.

Vrtatic said the government attaches great importance to the Expo and would spare no efforts in preparing the pavilion despite the impact of the financial crisis. She wished the Expo every success.

Ivica Maricic, the commissioner general for Croatia at the Expo, was present.
