From Mar 23 to 25, Guangdong Preparatory Office for Shanghai World Expo held a study on Hakka and Chaozhou-Shantou cultures to seek local cultures to be displayed in the Guangdong booth in the 2010 expo.

As Hakka and Chaoshan are two important cultures in north and east Guangdong, the delegates visited the historical sites in the region and tried to distill the local culture elements connected to Guangdong's success in business and opening up.
