On July 25, Guangdong held an expert conference to select slogans for its participation to World Expo 2010 in Shanghai. The conference was presided by Mr. Mo Gaoyi, Deputy Director of Guangdong News Office. The participating experts, including Mr. Tian Feng, Party Secretary of Guangdong Provincial Social Science Association, Mr. Li Cijin, Director of Policy Research Department, Mr. Ouyang Nongyue, Duputy Editor-in-Chief of Nanfang Daily Media Group and CEO of Southcn.com, reviewed the nearly 10,000 submissions and selected dozens of slogans.

According to the conference, Guangdong is one of the earliest to start preparation for the World Expo. After Guangdong called for the slogan solicitation for its participation to World Expo in Shanghai, citizens and organizations from over 20 mainland provinces contributed nearly 10,000 slogans. Experts now slimed down the choice to dozens, which will be published on Official Website for public poll recently.
