World Expo Shanghai will open on May 1, 2010. And in the one-year-to-go day, Mr. Bai Mingshao, Director of the Preparatory Office of Guangdong's Participation to World Expo Shanghai 2010, said Guangdong has confirmed to start eight big projects related to the expo, including the Guangdong booth construction.

Guangdong will showcase its urban development experience in the past 30 years of reform and opening up. And the local top brands, especially the hi-tech enterprises, will have opportunities to display their cutting-edge products and technology.

As for the preparatory work, Bai said, Guangdong is most active in Expo participation and established preparatory mechanism as early as November 2007, and currently, six work teams were established.
